Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Building Smarter from the Start

At ASYST, we believe great products begin long before production starts – they start with designing for manufacturability. DFM is the practice of optimizing product designs to reduce complexity, cost, and risk while ensuring quality and scalability. It is important to consider key principles such as simplified geometry, material selection, standardizing components, aligning tolerances with intent, and designing with the mold in mind.
