Automation Machine Build Process

Initial Concept

The customer RFQ/RFP is received, and a site visit takes place to review requirements, costing, and concept. A quote/proposal is given with lead time and pricing.

Design & Approval

A formal design starts in this stage. Mechanical and electrical controls are selected, machine layout and design, and internal and customer design reviews are performed until approval.

Purchasing & fabrication

The bill of materials is created and used to purchase components for the machine. Fabricated parts are manufactured based on detailed design drawings. Conveyors and feeding systems are ordered to prepare for machine assembly.

Machine Assembly

Once material arrives the machine assembly process begins. During the assembly stage individual stations are built, control panels are assembled, and programming continues.

Testing & Validation

The machine is debugged, programs are loaded and stations are inspected for proper function and wiring. The system is optimized to meet customer requirements prior to internal and external validations.

Machine Installation

The machine is prepared for shipment to the customer, where the ASYST automation team will meet to install. On-site validation will be reperformed, final acceptance occurs, staff is trained, and warranty phase begins.
